Kristen is the founder of Green Thoughts and has been teaching mindfulness meditation and yoga for several years in private, academic and workplace settings. After completing her Master of Education degree and becoming a certified Ontario Teacher, Kristen taught elementary school for many years. Upon developing some stress related health issues, she discovered mindfulness and the practice was transformative. She has since trained as a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Facilitator with the Centre for Mindfulness Studies, is a qualified Mindful Schools teacher and is a certified Restorative Yoga instructor. She looks forward to sharing the calm and compassion that a regular mindfulness practice can bring to daily life.
Rose Mina Munjee
Rose Mina Munjee is an experienced mindfulness facilitator certified by the University of Toronto Applied Mindfulness Meditation Program, the Centre for Mindfulness Studies, University of Toronto, and trained by University of California San Diego, and the Centre for Mindful Self Compassion. Rose facilitates courses and workshops in evidence-based interventions including MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction), MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy), and MSC (Mindful Self Compassion), as well as Mindfulness in the Workplace, and Mindfulness for Leaders. She is a Qualifying Registered Psychotherapist by CRPO. Rose is currently completing her Masters in Spiritual Care and Counselling with a certificate in Psychotherapy at the University of Toronto. Trish has been studying, practicing and teaching yoga and meditation for over 15 years. She has a wide range of experience including leading classes for individuals with physical disabilities and in service of those working with addictions, anxiety, stress or more generally people interested in cultivating greater mental and physical well being. Trish has spent the last few years doing a deep dive into the study contemporary mindfulness at the University of Mass Medical School, The University of Toronto Faculty of Social Work, and The Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto. Trish’s passion for teaching comes from the application of yoga and mindfulness in her own life. She loves to share her learning and to be in community with other seekers.
Deborah Brodey is a vocal sound healer, yoga teacher, recording artist and singer. She has studied and practiced sacred sound and healing for over 18 years. Ali Stark is a certified Qigong instructor of Chow Medical Qigong, Organ Cleansing Qigong (Zhang Fu Gong) and is a Level 1 & 2 Instructor of Radiant Lotus Women’s Qigong. She has been studying Qigong since 2001 and teaching in Toronto and Montreal since 2009. Ali learned through self-practice how to manage her own chronic pain and autoimmune disorders by re-discovering the Qi within. She became deeply passionate about how Qi mindfulness concepts can transform one’s way of thinking and how can we successfully integrate these tools into daily life. She currently leads classes for beginners at Yoga Village, Mosaic Yoga , semester series workshops at George Brown College, intensives at The Toronto Dance Theatre & The JCC as well as integrative healing retreats, workshops and Qigong in the Boardroom sessions with private clients.
